Kindling Words 2004

"An intensive workshop or a solitary retreat, the three-day weekend
provides something not found anywhere else: A place for accomplished
writers, artists, editors and agents to talk shop and come away inspired."

Impromptu

discussions

abound,

and lingering over meals in good conversation is the norm.

Is there a specific topic you would
like to discuss with peers? The
business of writing? School visits? Surviving the down times?

Blocks of white space provide opportunity for focused small
group discussions.

Pick a time, put up a sign up
sheet, and others who are interested
will soon join the discussion.

On Saturday night, attendees gather around the bonfire on the shore of icy Lake George,
where secret wishes for the coming year are thrown into the flames, and countless songs are
sung. And when the toes get numb and the cold wins out, the group retreats to the warmth
inside, where the singing continues until voices grow hoarse and bedtime beckons.

One thing is certain. Though Kindling Words may only last a few days . . .

the friendships made there

last a lifetime.
